HEUFT @ interpack: look deeper – see more – assess better!

24 March 2026

Making visible what was previously invisible. Detecting dangerous defects and foreign objects even in places where it was previously impossible. Making competent decisions about what is good or bad. And rejecting only what really needs to be removed: With our deep learning AI for in-depth analysis of X-ray and camera images, there’s now simply more to be gained when it comes to deeper consumer and brand protection while sustainably reducing packaging and food waste! The new capabilities will be presented at interpack 2026 in Düsseldorf.

Highlights at the international gathering of the packaging industry include

  • our deep-learning-capable HEUFT reflexx A.I. X-ray image processing system, which, when detecting glass-in-glass, makes the invisible visible even in structured, non-homogeneous products such as pickled gherkins and intelligently distinguishes critical from non-critical items,
  • our HEUFT eXaminer II XAC, which achieves full coverage, sensitivity, and assessment power for pulsed X-ray inspection of filled food jars, including in the challenging glass-in-glass detection,
  • our compact HEUFT eXaminer II XS, which, among other things, achieves full detection reliability with a further reduced false rejection rate when detecting foreign objects in filled tins using pulsed X-ray and HEUFT reflexx A.I.,
  • our HEUFT reflexx A.I. camera, which, in combination with deep-learning-enabled image processing, now evaluates product coding such as best-before dates even more intelligently and reliably verifies them even when they are distorted, smudged, or blurred,
  • our proprietary deep-learning model, which, with the aid of structured MCIP color lighting, now also provides complete coverage of the finish areas of wide-neck jars of various formats and diameters during camera-based empty container inspection and even detects the finest finish cracks,
  • our pakCheck technology, which detects even the smallest leaks when checking the tightness of beverage cartons and other filled composite carton packaging as well as
  • our current IT solutions, which ensure the necessary efficiency, overview, and traceability in the filling and packaging process—from production data acquisition and line analysis through product type and recipe management to end-to-end track & trace.

Take a deeper look at what we have to offer and visit our interpack booth A45 in Hall 13 at Messe Düsseldorf from May 7 to 13, 2026, to see how these and other intelligent solutions from HEUFT ensure enhanced consumer and brand protection as well as effective prevention of packaging and food waste!
